Weight gain and heart health shut down by my Doctor

I tend to go on a rant so I’m going to make this as short as possible.
I 5’5”. I’m short yes. I bulked up to 200lbs at 16% BF a couple years ago. Some things happened in my life and I couldn’t pay as much attention to lifting. Im around 168 right now but I miss my size. Doctor tells me that he doesn’t want to see me over 175 and that’s only if I’m very lean…which I’m not. He states that whether I’m 200lbs in muscle or fat it doesn’t matter, the added weight is a strain on my heart. Did I hear him wrong or is this true? I’ve been doing a lot more aerobic exercise instead in anaerobic. But the iron is my true passion as I miss it but I can’t risk my health for it…you know…kids. Thank you in advance.
