Jharkhand on high alert over Swine Flu; Health Minister directs hospitals to reserve beds, ramp up surveillance

Jharkhand Health Department is on high alert for potential H1N1 cases. Health Minister Irfan Ansari directed enhanced surveillance and hospital preparedness across the state. Ten additional beds are reserved in all medical college and district hospitals. Monitoring of Influenza-Like Illness and Severe Acute Respiratory Infection cases is intensified. Health teams will screen individuals at major transit points for immediate care.
