Woke up, fell out of bed, took a normal crap. Had half a dozen raw oysters in a shooter glass with vegetable juice (V8) and hot sauce for an early breakfast. Worked out then had a late breakfast the same as the first breakfast. A few hours later I really had to hit the toilet. It was all Dia. I felt fine afterwards. Are the nutrients lost with the Dia, or are they assimilated first? I was wondering if the hot sauce was going to bother me as I was dumping it in the glass, now I know the answer.

So I'm rather partial to cheese, my favourite is Edam but most cheeses I like. I kind of get cravings for Edam fairly often, sometimes several times a day or hour. Usually this is after exhaustion or tiredness. Problem is as most of you no doubt know is that Cheeses are full of Fat, even any diet versions still have a lot of fat and there are few of them around practically none for Edam as far as I know.
So the question is what can I do about this?
I've tried stuff like Cottage cheese and Quark but neither really agreed with me. Quark I found the worst kind of weird chemically tasting in not a good way. Only other thought if I can't find a very low fat cheese that tastes nice enough is fill my craving with some other found I can get off on eating that doesn't contain much fat but that too has so far been elusive.
At the moment my percentage body fat is well over something like 25 - 27 percent or so with most if it collecting on the gut. I want to get it down to around 15 percent and think I would be happy at that. Lower than that and I think my mind and body would not be able to take the ordeal of it all. I'm lifting weights so hoping that building some more muscle will help burn the fat but that is going to take time. I'm thinking that at present I have way more fat than needed and muscle building is not going to bridge the gap alone. I think without cutting out food which I don't see as productive I need to cut out the fat in my food and for me I think Cheese is the big hold out, so guys any ideas to sort my Cheese issue out?

Hello,
Today I overate 700 kcal more than usual in total 2400 kcal. Will I gain fat and lose gains from this one day of overeating in a while? I don’t overeat, I follow a strict diet and not eating more than 1800 kcal. I train everyday except Fridays this including weight lifting and moderate cardio.

Hi all,
I'm planning to return to the gym this week. I recently did a poorly-timed move from the UK just as gyms were starting to reopen, to a part of Australia where gyms were just starting to close. I want to gain muscle and get a bit leaner, but I'm having trouble deciding whether to cut initially, or go straight to bulking.

- I'm male, 6'3" 200 lbs, a little above 18% BF, based on averaging two BIA measurements, one for the upper body and one for the lower body. I will be getting a DEXA scan in the near future for a more accurate reading. I'm in my mid-30s.
- I tend to gain muscle easily if I put in the effort, I lose weight pretty easily but not as easy as gaining, and have a medium to large frame. I think this classifies me as a mesomorph or meso-endomorph.
- Despite that, looking in the mirror, I'm borderline "skinny fat". But probably a little more muscular than your average skinny fat person.
- I spent the last 18 months doing a combination of cardio, bodyweight exercises, and dumbbell workouts at home. I lost about 50 lbs, without losing muscle. Even gaining some, but not a lot. This was after about a 5 year layoff from regular exercise.
- I'm not brand new to proper weightlifting, as I lifted from my mid-teens to my late-20s. So, I generally know what good form looks like, but I will have to reteach myself.
- I'm planning to use Arnold's bodybuilding encyclopedia as a guide to drawing up a good workout, but I'm not doing the basic workout he recommends in the book. Mainly because of the potential for overtraining. Also, some of his advice is outdated.
- I have a pretty good diet, currently aimed towards slowly losing weight. Plenty of protein, a decent amount of good carbs, lower in fat but not incredibly so.
Based on being borderline "skinny fat", I should try bulking. Based on my BF% and the potential for newbie gains, I could try cutting. And based on my ability to gain muscle and lose fat relatively easily, I could do either. So I'm not sure which direction to go.
I'm planning to return to the gym this week. I recently did a poorly-timed move from the UK just as gyms were starting to reopen, to a part of Australia where gyms were just starting to close. I want to gain muscle and get a bit leaner, but I'm having trouble deciding whether to cut initially, or go straight to bulking.

protein makes tired. someone had benefits with taking a enzyme suppkement?
Hello guys.
The last couple of weeks i notice that protein rich meals make me tired and sluggish.
I don't know really why this exactly happen but the only reason that i was think of is that my body is not making enough enzymes to breaks protein down?
Anyways i wondering if someone here have the same experience and had improvements when taking a enzyme supplement.

Too skinny to cut?

Running fierce 5 novice routine (lift stats wise I am a novice)
Been cutting a little over 2months on a 500cal deficit. Started at 185 and roughly 18-20% bf (guesstimate), and a little bit skinny fat.
I’m down to 171 and have seen some great progress with fat loss. Just have a bit more stomach fat I’d like to cut, but I have seen in other posts that sometimes someone can be “too skinny to cut”, where in there is not enough of a base of muscle for a cut to make sense, aka there’s not much to cut to. Originally my goal was to cut to a point where some abs were visible, then I would slow bulk. But I’m wondering if I am fighting an uphill battle and if there is a way to tell if one is too skinny to cut. Is there a good way to gauge this outside of posting pics?

Two questions about bulking and hypertrophy
If at any point it's relevant, I'm 6'3 (1.9 m), 170 (77 kg).
How much of a detriment is it if I exercise on a given day but possibly don't reach a calorie surplus? I always get plenty of protein (at least 150g) and carbs (usually around 300, sometimes less), but sometimes I wake up the next day and I weigh less than I weighed at the same time the day before.
I calculated my TDEE and it's about 2200 or so, so I'm trying to consume around 2500 daily.
Second question is how much of a factor is meal timing for achieving results? Sometimes I have to cram 80% of my food into a 3-hour window. Should I stop doing that?

Quick question about protein consumption
(quick note, all my profile info isn't really accurate. My real body details are in the post below)
Hey all, new poster here!
I am making small progress with my at home strength training routine, and have recently changed from 3 days to 4 days a week, focusing on more volume on the muscles I want more emphasis on.
I'm only 5 weeks in so I'm at the very start of proper training and I've sorta slowed down from the first 5 weeks in terms of progress so that's why I'm switching it up. I'm a week in to the new routine and feel a much better pump and feel like I'm already doing better with it.
My chest, shoulders, back and arms have seen changes and people around me are already noticing these changes.
The only issue with this is that now I'm working on 2 of the days I am currently training, from 4 till 10 at night. I wake up around 11 (I'm not an early bird so no suggesting getting up at 6am to work out lol) and have to watch our family dog from half 1 until I go to work, so I have to stress myself trying to squeeze it in before I work, or do it after and spend more time focused on it.
I've heard that it can be beneficial to eat at different times for digestion and stuff like that, I'm just curious though, as I'm no means an experienced lifter (I'm 5ft 4, 20 year old male, weighing 54kg), as I can't really eat too much at work working retail, am I losing out eating at scuffed times of the day or as long as I get sufficient protein In the day, will I still be able to make progress like I did previously? As on the days I'm working i might have to work our after work at like 11 at night.

Advice/opinions on my bulking diet
hey guys, I am 194cm and weigh around 83-84kg.
I started a new diet recently which I think is pretty high in calories since i gained about 2kg in like 2 weeks.
breakfast: 100g cornflakes with chocolate milk
lunch: 2 chicken thighs with skin and a lot of spaghetti bolognese
snack: 3 peanut butter and jam or peanut butter and Nutella toast sandwiches (each sandwich is 200 calories only from the toast)
dinner: same thing as lunch or 4 medium eggs with rice/pasta
I tweaked it quite a bit and this is the current diet.
opinions/advice?

What are some food/eating habits that rustle your jimmies? It just occured to me that I have a lot. For me, it's:
-People who don't order any food, but then ask for a bite of mine...This is x2 if they get butthurt when I say no, x3 if I relent and they take a gigantic bite, and there's a potential homicide if they take more than one bite.
-People who use a single ketchup packet or a tiny little drop of hot sauce...WTF is the point?! Why even use sauce? I immediately think you're a boring, basic person. I'll add to this, somewhat hypocritically, that I hate people who judge me for using a ton of sauces. "Don't you wanna taste your food?" Absolutely. That's why I'm adding stuff to make it taste even better, bish.
-People who inhale their food when we go out to eat...This is doubly off-pissing when they try to ask me questions the whole time I'm just trying to finish my damn meal.
-People who give me a hard time when I refuse the bullchit they brought into work...I said I don't want your fuking burnt ass cookies or the cheap chit donuts you got at Dunkin, Karen. You're not gonna buy my friendship if I eat it, & me having one doesn't make you any less fat. If not for the aforementioned reasons, I know you just brought those desserts because you don't wanna binge on them at home.
-People who walk around shoving food in their mouth...Sit down and enjoy your food, man. What kinda life is that?
-Americans who turn their noses up at any cuisine that isn't burgers, steak, chicken fingers, etc....You judge my food for being "weird". I judge you for having the palate of a 4 year-old.
-People who eat a moderate amount and go on and on about how "full" they are...WTF are you trying to do, bruh? Are you actually THAT full? Even if you are, do you maybe wanna not fuking dwell on it all night.
-People who have fridges/pantries full of expired food they never eat...Throw it out, man!
-People who leave meat or dairy out at dinner parties for hours without putting it back in the fridge, then try to keep it as leftovers...Clearly you don't know the pain of food poisoning.
-People who don't throw out food they hate because they "don't wanna waste it". You're wasting your life by keeping/eating chit you don't wanna eat.
-People who ask for a doggie bag or take a to-go container when they have one bite of food left...Bruh...
